Yes. Ledger Right provides tax preparation and filing services for both businesses and individuals. Our monthly bookkeeping services are designed to work in tandem with our tax services by ensuring your financial records are accurate, complete, and tax-ready throughout the year.

While bookkeeping and tax preparation are separate engagements, maintaining clean and timely books allows our tax team to:

  • Identify tax planning opportunities proactively
  • Reduce year-end surprises
  • Improve accuracy and efficiency during tax filing

If you are not currently engaged with Ledger Right for tax services, we are happy to discuss adding tax preparation and planning to your service package.

Clients are assigned a primary point of contact. Communication is typically handled via:

  • Secure client portal
  • Email correspondence
  • Scheduled check-ins (as applicable)

Our onboarding process is designed to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment from the start. It typically includes:

  1. Initial information gathering and document collection
  2. Review of prior financials and systems
  3. Setup or confirmation of accounting software and access
  4. Final onboarding call to confirm scope, timelines, and expectations

This process helps establish a strong financial foundation and minimizes future issues.

Commonly requested items include:

  • Prior-year tax returns (business and/or personal)
  • Year-to-date financial statements
  • Bank and credit card statements
  • Payroll reports (if applicable)
  • Access to accounting, payroll, and payment platforms

We will provide a secure checklist and portal for uploading documents.

Onboarding timelines vary based on complexity and responsiveness, but most clients are fully onboarded within 2–4 weeks. Delays in document submission may extend this timeline.

If we identify cleanup needs during onboarding, we will:

  • Clearly outline the issues identified
  • Provide recommendations and optional cleanup services
  • Confirm scope and pricing before any additional work begins

Cleanup services are always discussed transparently and approved in advance.

We primarily work with cloud-based platforms such as:

  • Xero, QuickBooks Online, Count, and Digits
  • Gusto, ADP, or similar payroll providers
  • Secure document portals and reporting tools

If you are currently using a different system, we will advise on compatibility or migration options.

Once onboarding is complete:

  • A primary point of contact will be assigned
  • Communication expectations (email, meetings, response times) will be established
  • Regular reporting and advisory cadence will be confirmed, based on your service package
